Mr. Sharif joined Oaktree’s London office in 1999 from Societe Generale, where he was an Assistant Director in the Leveraged Finance Group specializing in large pan-European leveraged buyout and mezzanine transactions. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers working in the corporate finance/transaction services unit. During this period he undertook a secondment to the Structured Finance Department at the Bank of Scotland, where he worked on the structuring and analysis of a number of large leverage finance transactions. Mr. Sharif is an honours graduate of the University of Bristol, England.
