Brook Hinchman
Managing Director and Head of North America
Mr. Hinchman is managing director and head of North America for Oaktree’s Global Opportunities strategy where he leads the dedicated investment team in the region. During his tenure, Mr. Hinchman has had primary coverage responsibility for a significant number of sectors, including the technology, industrial, energy and financial services industries. He has served on a number of public and private boards, including Montrose Environmental, Genesis Capital, Neo Performance Materials, and Aleris International. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2010, Mr. Hinchman spent four years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently in the Merchant Banking division, where he focused on private equity investments. Mr. Hinchman received a B.B.A. degree in finance from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa, where he was Valedictorian.
