Lucas Gibson

Lucas Gibson is a vice president in Oaktree’s GFI Energy Group, which executes the Power Opportunities investment strategy.  He currently serves on the board of LPW Group and as a board observer of System One and Aecon Utilities.  He previously served as a board member or officer at Signal Energy, Fidelity Building Services Group, Sterling Solutions, Trench Plate Rental Co., and Renewable Energy Infrastructure Group.  Prior to joining Oaktree in 2019, Mr. Gibson was a senior associate at Sole Source Capital, a private equity firm focused on the industrials sector.  Mr. Gibson started his career at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, where he focused on evaluating and executing tax equity investments in the renewable energy sector.  Mr. Gibson received a B.A. cum laude in physics and economics from Colgate University.
